Household
Hazardous Waste
Collection
Facility
GENERAL
INFORMATION:
In
an effort to properly and safely remove unwanted household
hazardous waste from our community, the City of Winter Park
Fire Rescue Department operates a collection facility for
our residents. Located to the rear of Fire Station 64 at
1439 Howell Branch Road, the facility is open
four times each year.
The
site is operated with support from our City solid waste
contractor, Waste Management. We appreciate
their support with this very worthwhile program.
The
following are the requirements for eligibility to use this
site:
- The product
must have been generated as a part of your household operations.
- You must be
a City of Winter Park resident with proof of residency.
- No more than
one vehicle of product per date, per household.
PRODUCTS
ACCEPTED:
We
will accept the following household hazardous waste items.
- Motor Oil
- Tires
- Batteries
- Antifreeze
- Paint - Oil
Base and Latex
- Household
Pesticides
OPERATIONAL
PERIODS:
The facility
is open from 8am to 12 noon on the following dates in 2007:

LOCATION:
The facility
is located behind FIRE STATION 64 at 1439 Howell Branch
Road. Off Howell Branch Road, take the driveway immediately
to the east of the Fire Station, proceed through the gate
to the small building on the left, just past the first driveway.
