Notice
of Civil Service Exam for Firefighter EMT and Paramedic
The
City of Winter Park Fire Rescue Department will be conducting
a Civil Service Exam to establish an eligibility list for
the position of Firefighter. The date of the exam is July
16, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.
The
exam will be conducted at the Winter Park Civic Center located at 1050 West Morse Blvd., Winter Park, FL. We will
begin promptly at 1:00 p.m.
No
one will be admitted to the Exam after 1:00 p.m.
All
applicants must bring a photocopy of their State of Florida
Drivers License.

Reference Materials:
Firefighter/EMT
-
Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills, 1st Edition (Jones and Bartlett).
- Prehospital
Emergency Care, Brady, 9th edition.
Firefighter/Paramedic
- Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills, 1st Edition (Jones and Bartlett).
- Paramedic
Emergency Care, Brady, 5th edition.
- General
knowledge of ACLS.
If you intend to sit for this Civil Service Exam you MUST send an email to info@cityofwinterpark.org or call 407-599-3296 and leave your full name, date of birth,
telephone number and which test (EMT or Paramedic) you will be taking.
Anyone
not pre-registered by July 14, 2008 at 9:00am will not be allowed
to sit for the exam!
You
must also download and complete the Department's Firefighter
Application from this webpage.
Completed applications must be received at the Fire-Rescue Headquarters,
343 West Canton Avenue, Winter Park, Florida 32789 by 12:00 PM, Monday, July 21, 2008.
